Why Applying

This can be a life-changing experience for you depending on how you look at it. Student associations are the best platforms to improve your social and soft skills at no cost in the university. On the other hand, by working in such a platform a you will be improving your educational environment as well. Many of us discuss the shortcomings of the current environment, major, faculty and university every day, but few of us are courageous enough to make a change. Your adventure starts here, take the chance to develop yourself and the environment around you by applying for your preferred position at ELSA!

Who Can Apply

All BA, MA and PhD students can apply and be a part of ELSA. For more information reach out to us through litracoria@gmail.com

F.A.Q

Am I paid to work for ELSA?

No, you are not paid to work for ELSA. This is a voluntary experience, but by the end of this experience you have achieved a lot of things. You get the chance to improve your soft skills including teamwork and leadership. These soft skills will help you succeed in your future adventures.

Can I apply for multiple positions?

Yes, you need to fill out a separate form for each position your applying for. Also, explain in “Additional Comments” about  your priorities.

What happens if someone becomes a candidate for two positions and gets elected for both?

In this case, he/she chooses one of those two positions and leaves the other to another candidate who has the second highest number of votes.

How much time should I devote to my activities in ELSA?

Well, it’s not about numbers. But we know that working in ELSA or any other non-profit organization needs commitment. Sometimes we miss our classes, sometimes we have to choose between studying for our upcoming exam and preparing content for our upcoming event. All in all, we are a team and support each other in hard times but our priority is ELSA most of the time. Also, keep in mind that most of ELSA members are among the top students in their classes who hardly ever let their activities in ELSA come on the way of their learning in the university meaning they have found the right balance between being an ELSA member and a successful student. ELSA is there to help you achieve more during your studies not to bring obstacles that would result in your poor educational performance.

How can I contribute to ELSA without participating in election as a candidate?

You can simply join ELSA and become a member by selecting “Member” in the above application form. This is not major-based in contrast to being ‘core member,’ even engineering students can be members of ELSA if they are interested to contribute to this community. After being an ELSA member, you are informed of our upcoming events before anyone else, so that you can contribute to and join the organizing committee of these events.
